Hi ! I’m having a problem, that started to happen out of nothing. I start
the computer, and it turn on really quickly, then turns off and then the
fans start to run again but the pc doesn’t starts at all :c
My pc powers up but windows just says like to go to repair and i click it
and it just messes up and restarts again and i tried to reinstall windows
and now it’s doing the same thing as the first part!
If the fans turn on and the lights are on, but you don’t get any image on
the monitor (not even the HP logo), I would suspect an issue with the
graphics card.
It sounds like either the hard drive is failing or the operating system
files are corrupt. Try to boot into your BIOS and see if it detects the
hard drive. You may want to also see if you can boot to a Windows Operating
System disc or a System Recovery disc.
If there is no power getting to the fans or lights, I would suspect the
power supply has failed, or possibly the motherboard, but I would go after
the power supply first.
If the PC keeps shutting itself off, that is usually the result of heat
related damage or hardware failure. I would open the PC (if it’s a desktop)
and clean out the dust and make sure none of the fans are clogged or not
spinning and see if you can see any obvious issues or heat related damage.
Then try it again. If you can see the HP logo on the screen, try to go into
the BIOS and see if the hard drive is recognized.
My laptop shuts on but has a black screen and I can see that the capslock
key is lit up. It’s a pretty old computer so it probably has a lot of dust
in it
Try cleaning it, and if it still has the same problem. You may want to also
try using a different monitor just to rule out if the monitor has a problem.
Hi, my laptop doesn’t turn on. When I push power button the little orange
(the sign is something like +-) light pop for few seconds not the power
light (green). What do you think is the best solution on this? I appreciate
any help. Thank you.
I’m not sure about the lights on your PC, but if the power light doesn’t
come on at all, that likely means it’s not getting power. My hunch would be
the power supply is faulty, or the battery has failed. Try taking out the
battery and starting it. See if that makes a difference. If the power light
comes on, it may be a battery problem.
I would need more details to know for sure. It could be that you have
hardware drivers that need updated, or maybe there is dust in the computer,
or maybe the operating system needs to be repaired. To begin
troubleshooting what it could be, remove all peripherals from the PC except
the monitor and keyboard and mouse. Then try to start it. If you had a
printer connected, and removing it makes the PC start faster, then you may
wan to update the printer driver.
Flashing green light at the back of the computer if it is on the power
supply is an indication that something is going on with your power supply.
To see how to fix this issue simply do a search in YouTube on “HOW TO FIX
FLASHING POWER SUPPLY ON HP COMPUTER”. I work on behalf of HP.
My Pc won’t startup, No fan noises/ any booting actions. Just the red
little bulb near the start button lit. Could i get it to boot somehow? or
perhaps troubleshoot it?
my pc will turn on but when it says starting windows it just stays on that,
i have left it for about 4 hours and it still doesnt get past starting
windows
My computer’s monitor suddenly goes into power saving mode right after the
start up (the windows icon) and I’ve tried every solution I can find on
google i.e. Going into safe mode then restarting my pc, going into the low
resolution mode, even the Last known configuration mode. It still ends up
going into the power saving mode -.- I have no idea what to do anymore…
please help! I could still manage to shut the computer down even nothing is
displayed in the monitor though.
You should do a Google search for “kb 929135” it will bring up a link for a
Microsoft Support document titled How to perform a clean boot in Windows
8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista. Following the document should
help you to resolve your issue as it sounds like there is something in your
startup that is affecting your monitors power saving options.
I have a major problem. My windows 8 tablet, a Lenovo thinkpad, has a major
issue. When i turn it on it says “Preparing Automatic Repair” but just
stays like that for a couple of seconds. Then it changed to a blue screen
and stays like that for a few seconds. Then it just turns off. Is their any
way i can fix this or open the tablet in safe mode?

Service PC to prevent damage to the system.
Press to continue”
My fans are working fine, the computer turns off after the message.

I did wat u said still dosen work
Were you able to access the BIOS? Was the hard drive listed in the boot
devices? Did you try using recovery discs?
It Might Be The hardware drivers that need to be updated.
What would the problem be if the green light in the back flashes dimly?
