Most everyone is familiar with how to maximize and minimize their screen. Nonetheless, there are times when it’s great to view full screen. Favorite items to view on your whole screen are photographs and videos, for example. The detail is much better than with a maximized screen. You get a full view of your image or video with full-screen mode without having to look at the header and the task bar. To go to full screen mode, open your photograph or start your video with Windows Explorer or Windows Media Player, then hit F11, which is in the top row of your keyboard. If you press the Escape Key (ESC), it will take you out of full screen and back to wherever you were. This only works with Windows XP or Windows 7.

Don’t forget how important it is to have a copy of your Windows operating system. This will be a lifesaver if you should have the need of reinstalling your Windows.

Whether you carry it around with you or keep it in your desk, it’s reassuring to know that you can always install Windows on any computer whenever you need to. Flash memory is quicker for installing an operating system than either a disk or from a website.
